Special advisory for Saturday, Oct. 29

Due to the malfunctioning of the asphalt plant today, only a portion of South Street was paved, thereby requiring the continuation of paving on Saturday, October 29.

Weather permitting, paving will resume Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. and continue through the day. During the paving, South Street will be closed to traffic and closed for parking purposes.
Note: Accessibility to businesses

Entrance access to the businesses on the north side of South Street (North Country Coffee Cafe, New Way Lunch, etc.) is available via entry off of Elm Street into the South Street parking lot.

Entrance access to businesses on the south side of South Street (JP Bruno’s, South Street Floral, Pete’s Diner, Jaeger and Flynn, etc.) is available via entry through the Elm Street parking lot (accessible via Elm or Glen Streets) to the back entrances of the businesses.

Provided the weather cooperates, South Street will reopen for traffic at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, though some side streets intersecting with South Street may be closed, including Elm, School and New Pruyn Streets. Parking will be permitted on South Street.
